Hello, I’m John Loughery
I am a historian, novelist, Pulitzer Prize-finalist and Edgar Award-winning biographer, formerly of New York City and now resident in Berlin, CT.
For many years I was a teacher of English and Art History, as well as the art critic of The Hudson Review and a book reviewer for Woman’s Art Journal and the Washington Post.
I am an author of nine books, editor of three anthologies, and have frequently lectured about modern art, gay history, and religious history in the U.S.
